Library

The Library in Dartmouth has been in operation since 2013.  Due to the cancellation of the Upper Murray Library Bus, members of the Dartmouth Hall Committee decided to use an annex room of the Hall and convert to a Library for all residents of the Mitta Valley.  In appreciation of the many generous donations that Mr Peter Marks, a local of Dartmouth, had given to the community we named it after his beloved wife Lauris Marks.  From there we have been receiving book donations from Tallangatta Library and people far and wide.  As many books as you required are available to loan for a gold coin donation or a yearly family membership of $20 which covers any expences incurred by the Library.  Books can be accessed anytime by phoning Cynthia Stuart on 6072 4404 or approaching Lorrae Smyth at the Dartmouth Post Office for a key, an honesty system is in place.  We also have duplicate books for sale at a very minimal cost.
