The Valley has four Country Fire Association Brigades, as well as a State Emergency Services (SES) and Ambulance Service Centre – all delivered by committed community members.

Community Bus
The Community bus was provided by vline 25+ years ago due to our isolation. It has enabled all members of the valley to travel to Albury/Wodonga every Friday for both medical appointments and social occasions. Without the Community bus, many older residents would find it difficult to retain their independence. The bus is also used by local clubs and groups for a wide range of activities.
